Profiles

In the uContact platform, users are assigned roles and permissions based on their user profile. Each user can have only one profile, and each profile has access to specific controllers and resources within the platform. However, it is also possible for a user to have access to controllers and resources without the need for a user profile, which is referred to as a custom profile.

A user without a profile will only have permissions to attend and create interactions if they are added to a campaign.

A controller is a feature or functionality of the platform, and it can contain resources, for example, the campaign controller contains campaigns as resources. A profile can have access to a controller, to specific resources within the controller, and to specific actions of the resource such as read, write, update and delete. This allows you to fine-tune the access and permissions of users, ensuring that they have the resources they need to perform their tasks while also maintaining the security of the platform.
